Since 2011, Cancer Care Ontario has consistently ranked the Stronach Regional Cancer Centre (SRCC) at Southlake among the top three cancer programs in the province.

Excellent Care with Compassion

At the SRCC at Southlake, we compassionately deliver excellent close to home services and programs for patients living in York Region, North York and South Simcoe County, through inpatient care and outpatient clinics. These programs and services include up-to-date cancer screening, diagnostic testing, as well as leading edge radiation, chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatment.

We understand how difficult and overwhelming a cancer diagnosis can be. So we strive to give our patients the most compassionate care possible in a home-like setting, with natural light and comforting fireplaces. To help our patients through this experience, we also offer several supportive care programs.

Between appointments, patients and caregivers can rest, reflect or rejuvenate in our healing garden or our quiet room. They can also search for information in our Patient and Family Resource Centre. Our goal is to help our patients feel comfortable, while we care for them.

Advancing Innovative Care

Informed by innovative research, our oncology experts and scientists provide excellent, closer to home care in our state-of-the-art treatment facility.  Several also lead shared cancer programs with renowned partners, such as Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and The Hospital for Sick Children. We regularly participate in clinical trials or research studies to test the safety and effectiveness of new treatments or approaches to care.

Regional Hub for Full-Service Care

The SRCC at Southlake is also the designated regional lead program for the Central Regional Cancer Program, within Ontario’s Central Local Health Integration Network (LHIN). As the regional hub, we work with a network of hospitals and community service providers to deliver prevention and screening programs to help you stay healthy, as well as providing full-service cancer care.

We serve as a central channel to inform the region’s hospitals, cancer centres, other service providers and family physicians of new information, tools and programs from Cancer Care Ontario (CCO). Our leadership team also confers with its regional partners to best implement mandated changes to meet CCO’s cancer prevention goals and to deliver high quality care.
