Teamwork is a crucial part of delivering compassionate and effective care. – Catherine Cotton, Director, Stronach Regional Cancer Centre at Southlake

Whether in the Stronach Regional Cancer Centre (SRCC) at Southlake or in our patients’ homes, our oncologists, nurses, therapists and other interprofessional healthcare providers work together to make our patients’ care personalized and comforting.

Interprofessional Skills

Our team includes clinical and interprofessional healthcare providers who work together to help patients and their families throughout their cancer experience.

Varied Teams and Expertise

At each stage of a patient’s cancer experience, members of their care team will vary to include the specific expertise required. For example, while a patient receives radiation therapy, their team will include: medical physicists, radiation oncologists and radiation therapists, as well as nurses, social workers, spiritual care chaplains, unit clerks and volunteers.

Check the I am a Patient section and its pages to learn who may be part of our patient’s team at each stage.
